Steven Stamkos Biography
Steven Stamkos was born on 7th of February in the year 1990. He is an ice hockey player by profession and his national team is the National Ice Hockey team of Canada. He also plays in the National Hockey League. In this particular league, he plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Steven is the alternate captain of this particular team of the National Hockey League. He has scored 100 goals within a short period of just two years while he played with Sarnia Sting of Ontario Hockey League. After his excellent season in OHL, he made an appearance in the National Hockey League in the year 2008.
Steven Stamkos was brought in Unionville which is situated in Ontario. In this particular place, he used to play hockey for the Markham Waxers which was included in Eastern AAA League. This particular league was a junior level league of Ontario. Steven completed his education from Central Park Public School and then he was sent to Brother Andre Catholic High School. Both the schools are situated in Markham. After Sarnia drafted this particular player, he went to Northern Collegiate Institute. This particular ice hockey player has a Scottish origin.
Presently, Steven is aged only twenty years and has got a height of 6feet. He plays in the centre position in the particular game of ice hockey and is a high hand shooter. Though he plays in the centre position yet in many cases he has to shift to forward position in order to score goals. He has tendency of scoring unpredictable goals in a fraction of a second. The main advantage of his play style is his speed. He has got an intense speed on the field which helps him to beat the opponent defense and score quick goals.
At a very young age, Steven Stamkos has developed very different style of playing ice hockey in him. He plays in a very different pattern. He can also tackle the opponents very well and has got great dribbling ability. At this very young, there are only few players who has got so much fame in the particular sport of ice hockey. This was only possible because of his strong dedication towards the game of ice hockey. Since childhood he is very fond of this game. He has stated playing this game at a very young age also. Te key factor lies in the body physique of Steven Stamkos. It is very hard to beat the speed and dribbles of this particular young player.
